The Art Room

The Art Room is one of my favorites. It is a wide rectangular room, with shelves lining it on all sides but one. That is the one where I have my Work Desk. The Work Desk is light, made of glass-smooth wood. There are two drawers on either side of the desk, on the left side there is paper in the bottom drawer, and pencils, pens, markers, and erasers in the top. Everything is quite organized.

The shelves are in sections; for instance there is a whole shelf full of painting supplies, one full of cloth, yarn and needles, a big one with all kinds of clay, etc.

On top of the shelves is where you can keep any kind of artwork; preferably putting paintings above the paints, models above the clay, etc.

Straight ahead from the doorway is the paint shelf, to the right of the shelf is the clay. On that side of the room is the sewing/knitting shelf, and to the left of the doorway is a shelf full of drawing items namely: Special pencils for shading, outlining, whatever, many, many markers, crayons, colored pencils, special erasers, sharpeners, and anything else of that sort that you can think of.

To the right of the doorway are two shelves full of art books, so you can just sit down and learn. There are books on drawing, painting, modeling, sewing, knitting, crocheting, folding (as in origami), glass blowing, mosaic, everything.

Next to the pencil shelf is the one with mosaic, glass blowing, and folding. Behind my desk is a wall with four big pictures the Art Fairies painted. The one on the top left is a winter scene, top right a Spring scene, bottom left Summer, and bottom right Fall. The Art Fairies are very talented; they like to do art work and then put it somewhere around the house. If they run out of space on the walls, they'll put it in The Fairy Room which I shall tell you about later.

Now, about the Season Pictures, they were worked on by every Art Fairy together, which is why they are so special. Usually the fairies will be on their own, because they have their own different talents. But even though the Knitting/Sewing fairies might not be that good at painting, they could still help out. For instance, they might get the supplies when they weren't doing some of the easy painting parts, like the sun. The Modeling Fairies made the gold frames in which each picture was held. The Drawing Fairies drew the outline to prepare the picture of color for the Painting Fairies. The Glass Fairies made sure the picture could not be damaged by light.

The scene in the Winter picture is cool, with a background of mountains. It shows the ice skating rink, the ski or snowboard path, the cabin owned by fairies where you can stop in for a cup of hot chocolate, the pine forest where the winter fairies dwell, and fields of snow.
The Winter Picture is in a gold frame, with diamonds set in it to match the coolness of the scene. The Spring and Summer Pictures are different. They have different ones. For instance, the Spring one is gold too, but has emeralds set in it because the Spring Fairies like green. The Summer one is gold and has topaz gems set in and The Autumn one is gold with rubys.
The Spring scene is that of the crystal clear lake, the flowering meadows, the shady but bright forest, and the mermaids and unicorns by and in the lake. Like the Winter Painting, there are mountains in the background but these ones are covered in a maple tree forest.
The Summer Scene does not have mountains, but an ocean full of islands and shallow bays. It is a favorite area for mermaids. However, the Summer painting does have a forest and meadows.
The Fall or Autumn scene is a beautiful painting with an amazing background of a golden mountain of changing leaves. There is a lake and a meadow, but the most amazing thing is the forest. It's a red, orange, yellow, gold, and rainbow forest, with not a speck of brown on the leaves. Every leaf was perfectly painted like the real thing. The Autumn Fairies made sure of that. They always paint the leaves that grow, so it always looks like Fall. They also take the old away and either use them for a bed or make them disappear. In the Fall Room there are also pine trees, so the ground is covered in a blanket of dead pine needles. The Fairies don't mind that, in fact, it makes everything even more beautiful. Also there are lots of little red, orange, and white-speckled mushrooms (also know as toadstools) dotting the forest floor. And the Art Fairies made sure to paint every one.

So there are the Season Room Paintings, and the Art Room. I hope you enjoyed reading about it!
